Our Condition Guide

At Kodiak Labs, we use a simple and transparent grading system to help you understand the condition of the items we sell. All items are carefully inspected and graded before being listed.

Please note that condition grading is subjective and represents our honest assessment of an item's overall condition. We always recommend reviewing product photos alongside the condition grade before making a purchase.

General Product Grading

GRADE A / MINT

Like new, with minimal to no signs of wear.

  • Excellent overall condition

  • Very little or no visible cosmetic wear

  • Fully functional where applicable

  • Ideal for collectors and customers seeking the best available condition

GRADE B / NEAR MINT

Light signs of use, fully functional.

  • Minor cosmetic wear may be present

  • Light scratches, marks, or handling signs possible

  • Well-maintained and fully functional

  • Great balance between condition and value

GRADE C / PLAYED

Visible wear, fully functional.

  • Noticeable cosmetic wear from previous use

  • Scratches, scuffs, marks, or packaging wear may be present

  • Fully functional unless otherwise stated in the product description

  • Suitable for customers prioritising affordability over cosmetic condition

GRADE D / REPAIRS

  • Faulty items for repair or parts.

Trading Card Grading

Individual trading cards are assessed separately using the following grading scale:

Mint

  • Exceptional condition

  • Sharp corners and edges

  • Clean surface with little to no visible imperfections

Near Mint

  • Minor signs of handling or storage

  • Small imperfections may be present upon close inspection

  • Strong overall presentation

Played

  • Visible signs of use or handling

  • Edge wear, surface wear, whitening, scratches, or other imperfections may be present

  • Card remains suitable for collection, gameplay, or binder storage
